The Game-changing innovations have created a paradigm shift in the healthcare industry. The wide adoption and utilization of these cutting-edge technologies have significantly enhanced the quality of care, truly streamlining healthcare practices and delivery. This wide penetration of technology is also empowering people to keep track of their health parameters, improve their well-being and observe a healthy lifestyle all by themselves; simply by using the different applications developed to help the users to track their biomarkers and seek health-related advice     .

To make life simpler for users, Nikunj Malpani, Anurag Meena, and Pratik Lodha came up with the idea of creating smart solutions that makes it very easy and convenient to tracks your different biomarkers anytime-anywhere. This vision led to the establishment of a health-tech startup, monikered NeoDocs. In short, the startup has transformed smartphones into minilabs, where by using the different self-test kits one can instantly take the test, scan the card and get the results instantly on their phones anytime and anywhere, in 30 seconds.

NeoDocs’ at-home instant testing kits are developed by experts to serve different customer needs. These kits are rigorously validated with clinical partners to ensure they are of utmost quality. The current set includes Wellness, Maternity wellness, UTI testing, Kidney, and Elderly care. Giving attention to the elderly’s basic requirements, the team designed an Elderly Care Kit to help them monitor their vital signs, deficiencies, and infirmities at home in their comfort zone. Today, the startup has hit on novel solutions and is building a platform that will support saliva and blood-based tests as well to add more biomarkers to the instant test kits.

“At Neodocs, we’re building instant diagnostics on the phone; across blood, urine, saliva, sweat, etc. Already live with multiple urine-based tests, with two of our hero products being the Kidney Care Kit and Instant UTI (urinary tract infection) Kit. The Kidney Care Kits help with early screening and monitoring of CKD (chronic kidney disease) patients – there are said to be more than 800 million CKD patients, with 90% of them unaware. UTI is something that affects more than 60% women, with symptoms being unbearable in most cases. Looking forward to an amazing partnership with India-Sweden Healthcare Innovation Centre and Business Sweden to take this solution to the masses,” said, Nikunj Malpani, Co-Founder, NeoDocs.

NeoDocs is one of the winners of the Innovation Challenge led by the India-Sweden Healthcare Innovation Centre which is established to develop an ecosystem of open innovation for start-ups and the healthcare delivery stakeholders. The Centre is supporting NeoDocs towards clinical validation guidance at AIIMS Jodhpur and deployment of their product at the hospital along with mentoring for international expansion. Through the Centre, NeoDocs has also become a part of A.Catalayst network – an interconnected and dynamic global network of more than 20 AstraZeneca health innovation hubs, made up of physical locations and virtual partnerships. The network embodies the commitment to Growth Through Innovation as ‘a catalyst’ to develop new solutions for patients. It aims to address healthcare challenges, increase access to healthcare and scale and showcase patient‑enabled innovation through partnerships within the health ecosystem.

“We’re elated to have won the India-Sweden Healthcare Innovation Centre’s Innovation Challenge. This is an impeccable opportunity for us, to partner with AIIMS Jodhpur for validation and testing. Building in the diagnostics space can be tricky, getting the right guidance and mentorship is crucial. Feel lucky and grateful to get this opporturnity and Launchpad,” said Anurag Meena, Co-Founder, NeoDocs.

Ever since its establishment in 2020, NeoDocs has been hitting the homerun. Along with creating a niche in the ecosystem, the startup has gained the recognition and support of leading investors and advisors like Omidyar Network, 9Unicorns, Titan Capital, Venture Souq, YCombinator, Gemba Capital, Prophetic Ventures, and others. In 2021, they raised a pre-Seed funding round led by idea-phased accelerator VC fund 9Unicorns, along with Y Combinator, Titan Capital, and others. The startup has also bagged prestigious awards like the Wharton India Startup Challenge, BCIC Emerging Stars Startup Award (2022) and made it to the list of X-PITCH’s (formerly known as Taiwan Elevator Pitch) TOP 150 start-ups.

NeoDocs have established an excellent partnership with Nashik Zila Parishad where they will be deploying Neodocs test kits and disseminating them to the end-users, enabling them to track their health and critical needs and as a result, uplift the healthcare levels. 103 doctors across Mumbai and Jaipur are using the test kits for instant results daily at their clinics.

Intending to spread health and wellness awareness, the team has designed a special blog section where one can read healthcare-related articles to increase their knowledge and adopt measures to improve their overall health.  Headquartered in Mumbai, this MedTech startup has set a growth trajectory where the aim is to expand its footprint across geographies like the Middle East, African Subcontinent & South East Asia, add more tests to the portfolio, and continue creating the path for innovations for building futuristic diagnostics. The team is also focusing on partnering with Public Health agencies that resolve to improve the healthcare status of the masses.
