This era of relentless innovation and technological advancements has provided innovators the leeway to venture into stimulating opportunities that boost a surge in innovation. Inspired by the evolving and fertile innovation landscape and the limitless possibilities of emerging technologies like Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Spatial Computing, Puneet Badrinath embarked on the journey of establishing Fabrik a top-tier spatial computing platform designed to empower organizations with spatial computing to solve tangible, real-world challenges.

The team of Fabrik.Space grasped a future where the divide between human and machine are narrowed down, enabling seamless integration of technology with industries. They pooled their diverse expertise to develop a no-code metaverse platform that transcends across all screens, and on any device, providing an innovative yet trouble-free way of interacting with technology. With the primary objective of creating vital machinery designed for daily tasks, making them intuitive and easy for users to understand and manage.

As an incubated startup at nasscom Center of Excellence – IoT & AI, Bengaluru, which is a Joint initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Govt. of Karnataka, and nasscom, Fabrik.Space got the opportunity to address a problem statement presented by YOKOGAWA. Fabrik integrated floor data with 3D models to enhance the operational efficiency of oil refineries using 3D digital twins. This integration resulted in a notable increase in facility management operational efficiency, with improvements ranging from 15% – 20%.

“Our journey with nasscom CoE has been a beacon. Their unwavering support amplified our capabilities and gave us invaluable industry insights. They’ve been more than just an association; they’ve been our mentors, pushing us towards excellence,” said Puneet Badrinath, Founder, Fabrik.Space.

It is truly impressive to see them start carving out a distinct space in the ecosystem within a span of six years. Established in 2017, the startup has earned the trust and support of prominent organizations across various domains, including YOKOGAWA, Siemens, Airbus, ABB, Honeywell, MG, Raymond, Godrej, Macquarie, Maruti Suzuki, effectively serving their needs.

Since inception, the team envisioned stepping into and expanding in the global market. In 2022, they established significant partnerships in Japan, and secured invitations to be part of the CES 2023 in Las Vegas alongside LG Nova, hence turning their dream into a reality. In terms of funding, it has bagged an undisclosed amount of funding at a maiden seed round. The year 2023 has to date been lucrative for Fabrik.Space as it has seized the opportunity to work on the AEC project management. The startup’s collaboration with YOKOGAWA marks a significant milestone that provided a platform to authenticate their forte in smart city project.

“Late 2020 marked a turning point, securing collaborations with entities like the Indian Navy and embarking on projects such as the Saharanpur Smart City Mission. By 2021, our progress was undeniable, with revenues surging four-fold. Venturing into aerospace MROs that year laid the groundwork for future initiatives. In 2022, our research expanded into computer vision for real-world applications, broadening our platform to invite marketing professionals to explore unprecedented uses of AR and VR,” said Puneet.
